At night, Patrick Mahomes became an elite quarterback of the NFL

Instead of writing this Monday, I wanted to wait until we saw Pat Mahomes and the leaders head to Denver for their Monday night football game. I'm delighted to have waited because I want to talk about what I saw on Monday night in Denver between two bitter rivals.

Pat Mahomes has officially arrived. It's obvious now. Last season, he played well in Denver for a game in the 17th week against a Broncos team that did not try everything. The leaders then transferred Alex Smith to Washington in early February, allowing Mahomes to become a full-time quarterback. We all knew he had the arm and the skills to make him an above-average starter, but there were questions about his ability to make the transition from his attack on the academic airstrikes to that of Andy Reid against the west coast.

During the training camp, reports on St. Joseph, Missouri, focused on multiple interceptions each day, enough to worry some. I have checked these reports and, even if it is true, the interceptions were not to be feared. Mahomes was aggressive and Andy Reid was throwing so much on him that it caused confusion among his teammates. In the pre-season, Mahomes appeared on track to prepare for his Los Angeles debut against the Chargers in 2018, but questions remained about his ability to commit this offense and his ability to prepare for the pressure.

All that Mahomes did in the first three weeks of the season was 13 touchdowns, with no interceptions, and completed 67% of his passes for 896 yards. Mahomes looks like a seasoned veteran before shooting; he is never caught unprepared by a defense.

He led the number-one attack on the Chargers and Steelers on the road and the 49ers at home. But, despite his dazzling start, the Chiefs were playing ahead and their attack was virtually no problem. It seemed too easy. Can the chefs support it all season long?

The Broncos presented problems to the leaders we had not seen yet.

For starters, their defense is considerably better than anything the leaders have seen up to now. They can rush the smuggler, stop the race and harass the receivers. Secondly, this game was taking place in a hostile road environment, unlike the previous two games. Chargers' matches often look like games outside for the local team. If Pittsburgh fans love their team with passion, they are not very strong. Thirdly, this game could force the Chiefs to play from behind and fight in offensive slowdowns, which we had not seen yet.

We had all the answers we needed for three hours on Monday night.

The leaders' offensive was not a trigger in the first half. The Broncos were harassing Chiefs' shoals and the tight end, Travis Kelce, who just does not look fit for three quarters. The Denver defense did a fabulous job of concealing the pressures and confusing the Chiefs blockers.

The noise in Denver and the lack of upstream communication, which had not been a problem for the moment this season, led to some hectic games for the offensive. Mahomes often had to go through all of his progress, which he did not need to do in the first three weeks, and when he got to his last option, that guy was usually whitened.

The first half ended with a 13-10 drop in the Chiefs. They averaged 5.25 yards per game. Mahomes was 7 out of 15 and had only 33% of the third run down.

I tweeted at halftime that the second half would show if Mahomes and the offensive could adjust and make games to win the game. We know that the Chiefs' defense, who did just enough to give them a chance, was not going to win the match for them.

The third quarter went well for the Chiefs offense. They only scored an investment and started the fourth quarter down 20-13. Denver quickly added another goal early in the fourth quarter to go 23-13.

It's time for Pat Mahomes to shine and that's exactly what he did. He led a six-minute field run that ended with a touchdown by Travis Kelce. The players will rightly focus on the left pass for the next record, making it his best game of the night, but the third and 16th throws go to the right, throwing his body slightly on Tyreek Hill for 15 yards, was bloody cold. This is the type of game and throwing that distinguishes good quarters and good quarters.

Finally, the Chiefs scored on that shot and the defense stopped. The Chiefs' attack recovered the ball with 4: 35s and had to cross 60 yards to win the game. We all know how left-handed it was leftist, but again, not to diminish this game, what Mahomes did later in this game is impressive.

Can Mahomes lead the leaders on the road in a hostile environment? Check. Can Mahomes dismantle an excellent defense of the NFL? Check.

Everything we wanted to see from Mahomes, we saw it on Monday night.
