The CCA suspended the half-match and publicly rebuked a total of seven players from the state of North Carolina and North Carolina who were involved in a fight at the end of their match last Saturday.

In a statement on Monday, the CAC identified Dominica players Dominique Ross, Patrice Rene, JK Britt and Jeremiah Clarke, as well as NC State players Freddie Phillips Jr., Tyler Jones and Justin Witt, after watching the video of Wolfpack's 34-28 victory in overtime. The fight started in the end zone, just after Reggie Gallaspy crossed the goal line for the winning score.

NC State faces East Carolina on Saturday in a scheduled match after Hurricane Michael forced both teams to cancel their games against different opponents in September. Jones and Witt start offensive linemen for the Wolfpack, while Phillips is a reserve defender.

Britt and Clarke are North Carolina seniors, leaving Ross and Rene under suspension at the opening match of the 2019 North Carolina season against South Carolina on August 31 to Charlotte. Each school will determine if players stay out of the first or second half.
