EDMONTON – The marijuana company Aurora Cannabis Inc. has applied for listing of its shares on the New York Stock Exchange.
The shares are expected to trade in New York under the symbol ACB, identical to the one on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
The Edmonton-based company claims that the listing is subject to the approval of the New York Stock Exchange and to the satisfaction of all registration and regulatory requirements.
Aurora expects NYSE trades to begin before the end of the month.
The company's shares rose sharply last month following a report by BNN Bloomberg that Aurora was in talks with Coca-Cola to develop pot-brewed drinks.
However, Aurora said at the time that even though she was initiating exploratory talks from time to time, there was no agreement to announce.
