Michael Avenatti, lawyer representing Julie Swetnick in his sexual misconduct charges against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, has issued a stern warning to Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

"Warning – If the committee is nominating this afternoon, my client and I are going to have fun with the embarrassment of @ChuckGrassley @LindseyGrahamSC @tedcruz and all the other members of the committee's GOP group this weekend when his story is told and believed to be credible. He tweeted Friday afternoon.

"And if you think I'm bluffing, you have not been paying attention for 7 months. I do not talk nonsense. I'm dealing with facts and evidence, "he added.

The tweets arrived shortly before the Judiciary Committee submitted Kavanaugh's candidacy to the entire Senate for a confirmation vote. The vote of the 11-10 expert group was along the party lines.

Avenatti on Wednesday issued Swetnick's allegations, tweeting an affidavit exposing his allegations against Kavanaugh, stating in particular that he was present for a "gang rape" of which she was a victim.

Swetnick is the third woman to have made public allegations of misconduct to varying degrees. The charges upset Kavanaugh's confirmation process with Sen.
