Avengers 4 Russo Brothers 'fire' Mark Ruffalo for spoiling title

Mark Ruffalo is in a heap of trouble.

Avengers fans went into the meltdown when the actor teased that he would be revealing the title of Avengers 4 on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

And it looks like the film's directors, Anthony and Joe Russo, are done with Ruffalo's loose lips.

The directing team joked that the 50-year-old has been sacked from the Marvel franchise after he dished out spoilers on the late night talk show.

Ahead of the show airing, Mark tweeted: '@JimmyFallon, I trust that you will cut my spoiler slip on the show tonight. That was "off the record" homey. Please do not get me in trouble with Marvel (Barry) again. DM me back. Mr. '

Alas, Jimmy responded: 'Dude, it's too late – already felt the final show to Burbank for air. Are you sure you're gonna be in trouble? We could maybe bleep it out. What is "DM"?

And after seeing this convo, the Russo Brothers chimed in: 'Mark, you're fired.'

However, see filming for Avengers 4 has wrapped, we reckon the Hulk is in the clear.

It turns out that all of Mark's spoilers were actually censored in the final cut of Fallon, simultaneously making us laugh and crushing our dreams.
