Away from home makes sense, according to Kevin Feige

When the title of Jon Watt Spider-Man: Homecoming was announced for the first time, Marvel fans were smiling a bit. After all, if part of the title refers to the fact that the movie presents a dance back home, it was also a nod to the fact that the hero was finally getting his own Marvel Cinematic feature Universe. For this reason, we reflected on the title of the sequel, Spider-Man: far from home, since it was announced yesterday … and now Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed that there are, in fact, several meanings:

The title of Spider-Man: far from home was officially announced by star Tom Holland on social media Saturday night – and it was the perfect time since I had to talk this afternoon to Kevin Feige during the national press day for Ant-Man and the wasp. I tackled the subject of the new title at the beginning of our conversation, noting in my question that Spider-Man: Homecoming was a loaded title, and the director / director explained that there is a common point in their names.

So what could Spider-Man: far from home mean? For starters, several reports have suggested that the blockbuster of 2019 would take Peter Parker from New York and Europe, which corresponds to the title from a geographical point of view. But what could be the double meaning? What immediately comes to mind is simply the idea that the hero is totally out of his element and lost in aAvengers 4 world. Then again maybe the title could also refer to a much more extreme trip than Europe – maybe through time or from other dimensions. We will not really know for sure until official details are released on the film, and we probably will not have them for a while.

Spider-Man: far from home, which is the second collaboration between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, is expected to be released next summer, July 5, 2019, and will be the first title of the Phase 4 shots of the Marvel film universe.
