As we see in WWE Crown Jewel On Friday, Brock Lesnar defeated Braun Strowman to win the vacant WWE title.
The arrival was somewhat surprising, as Lesnar had to fight again at the UFC early in 2019. Brock Lesnar is reinstated in the USADA test group on July 3, which means that he can fight again at the UFC in January 2019. Lesnar has not yet signed with the UFC.
Dave Meltzer noted in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that Lesnar had signed with WWE for at least two other appearances. WWE announced Friday that Lesnar would meet WWE Champion AJ Styles at Survivor Series in two weeks, so he has one more match, which would be both The royal rumor or WrestleMania.
Lesnar beat Strowman about three minutes after a series of F5s. Meltzer pointed out that the idea was not to give the impression that Strowman had been crushed, but rather that he had survived several F5s.
