Voters in Massachusetts had a very good night as voters handed over their second-term tickets to Governor Charlie Baker and Senator Elizabeth Warren on Tuesday.
Baker defeated Democratic challenger Jay Gonzalez and Warren defeated Republican Geoff Diehl.
Gonzalez tried to criticize Baker for not criticizing Trump loud enough, even though the incumbent president had repeatedly rebuked the White House policy and the president himself over the last two years.

Baker boasted the strength of the economy and the low unemployment rate of his state, the progress of his government in stabilizing the state's finances without major tax increases and the measures taken to combat the crisis of opioid addiction.
Gonzalez claimed $ 3 billion in new taxes to improve education and transportation, and supported a single payer health system.

Warren, a potential presidential candidate in 2020, often used Diehl as a trump for Trump while she was seeking re-election to the Senate.

The former law professor at Harvard Law School recently released a DNA test suggesting that a distant ancestor was Native American, in order to refute Trump's frequent taunts about his claim to Native American heritage.
Diehl claimed that Warren was ready to leave Massachusetts to run for president. Warren retorted that Diehl, when he was elected, would be a stamp in Washington for Trump 's agenda.

Democrat Ayanna Pressley, who ran unopposed after a frustrated primary victory over ten-term US representative Michael Capuano, officially became the first black woman in Massachusetts to be elected to Congress.
The other four members of the Congress delegation, all Democrats in power, representatives Jim McGovern, Katherine Clark, Seth Moulton and Bill Keating, are facing challengers.
Republican Rick Green, Democrat Lori Trahan and Independent Mike Mullen vied for the vacant seat in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Niki Tsongas.
The US Democratic representatives Joe Kennedy, Stephen Lynch and Richard Neal came forward unopposed.

Voters also rejected an effort to overturn the state's 2016 law protecting transgender people from discrimination in public places and allowing them to use the bathroom or locker room that matches their gender identity.
