WASHINGTON – Former President Barack Obama has practically demolished the house at Michelle Obama's book exhibition in Washington.

The former first lady goes around the country promoting her memoir, "Becoming," and participated in an animated conversation Saturday night by her long-time friend and former Obama advisor to the White House, Valerie Jarrett.

When the conversation changed regarding Michelle's feelings towards her husband, Jarrett announced a "special guest" and Barack Obama came on stage with a bouquet of pink roses for his wife.

The Capital One Arena crowd surged, causing the former president to compare himself to rapper Jay – Z.

"It's like, do you know when Jay-Z comes out at Beyonce's concert? … Like, 'Crazy in Love'?" Obama said. "It's the same thing – it's just a small sample to enhance the concert."

Jarrett asked her why Michelle had captured her heart when they met at a Chicago law firm where she was his mentor.

Barack Obama said that she was "one of a kind", strong and honest, and that he always trusted his confidence.

He also stated that he knew that if she was the mother of her children, their offspring would be "extraordinary".
