Former President Barack Obama sued Saturday the Internet's favorite bromance with an article on Instagram. Obama welcomed Joe Biden on Instagram with a return of the pair – with most Obama legend to match.
"My brother and friend @JoeBiden is back on Instagram Welcome, Joe – you'll always be one of the few exceptions to my no-selfies rule," Obama wrote in his incredibly smiling photo caption of the two men.
Based on their clothes, it looks like the picture Biden took when the two went to Dog Tag Bakery in Washington, DC in July. The bakery trains veterans and their spouses to run the business. Biden shared the picture on Twitter when he wished Obama a happy birthday:
"Our lunches together were a highlight of each week at the White House." Biden wrote on Twitter on August 4th. "Last week's trip to @DogTagBakery was no different. Happy birthday to my brother, my friend, @Barack Obama. "
Biden has posted only one photo on Instagram since returning to the platform on Thursday. The post was a picture of Biden in New York with wounded veterans who have crossed the country to educate veterinarians with post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injuries.
Previously, Biden posted on Instagram on the @vp handle. All of his articles during the two Obama administrations are now archived.
The comments on the Saturday of Obama fall into a few categories. There are those who love the Obama-Biden bromance, those who desperately want Joe Biden to run for president in 2020, those who want Obama and Biden to remain in office, and those who congratulate Obama on his class.
Those who feared that the two would not remain friends after leaving the White House had long lost their fears when the two went to Toronto in September 2017 to attend the Invictus Games with Prince Harry (yes, the Prince Harry). The Invictus Games "are an international sporting event for servicemen and wounded, sick and injured women, whether they are on duty or veterans," according to the organization's website.
