After being caught off guard by the death of her grandmother, Barbara Bush said that she knew that she wanted to get married as soon as she would be engaged to make sure her grandmother Father would be there on his special day.

Barbara, the twin sister of today's 36-year-old correspondent Jenna Bush Hager, is linked to screenwriter Craig Louis Coyne, also 36 years old. The couple exchanged greetings at the Bush family's home in Kennebunkport, in the ocean.

Barbara said she was caught off guard when her grandmother, former First Lady Barbara Bush, passed away in April at the age of 92. Barbara, she was attending Coyne at the time, but had not introduced her to her grandparents.

"Craig could not meet my grandmother. I thought there would be plenty of time for that, "she told People magazine.

Coyne proposed four months later at a meeting of the Bush family in Maine, on the same site where her grandparents got engaged.

"In fact, we would have married next week if we could have done it," said Barbara. "We just thought, let's try to do it soon. We knew we wanted to get married – we had already made that decision – so we did not need an engagement month. "

Barbara, co-founder and president of Global Health Corps, a nonprofit organization, kept thinking about her 94-year-old suffering grandfather, former president George H. W. Buisson.

"You can have this beautiful career and this beautiful life. But, of course, the older you get, the more you lose people you love, "she said.

The couple knew he wanted to organize the wedding in Maine, which Barbara called "a place of happiness" after the couple spent time there with his grandfather during the summer.

"We just thought, let's get married soon – a little wedding with just our family and my grandfather here," she said.

Her grandfather sat in the front row of the ceremony while Barbara was accompanied by her father, President George W. Bush, in the alley. She exchanged her wishes during a ceremony presided over by her aunt, Dorothy Bush Koch.

Former Bush also took part in the dinner where Barbara's sister wagged her toast.

"My eyes are still swollen," Jenna told her colleagues Wednesday about Megyn Kelly TODAY'S HUI.

Jenna called the meeting a "sweet evening".

She also stated that the entire event was so unobtrusive that they found the wedding musician, a classical guitarist, on Facebook.

"There were 20 people. There was no wedding planner, "she said.

On the big day, there were some problems – she and her sister almost went out without their bouquets and the men forgot to wear their buttonholes – everything seemed perfect in the end.

"You forget the little things and you focus on the big things," she said.
