The legendary singer has a new album to be released Friday titled "Walls" which, she says, embodies her feelings about Trump and his presidency.
A single, "Do not Lie to Me," has already been published.
"The truth has always worked for me," the singer told the newspaper about the political climate, "so seeing the dirty truth every day is very, very painful for me."
Streisand is aware that not everyone will be happy with his new project.
"I can only be true to myself as an artist and if people like it, it's great. Otherwise, they are not obliged to buy it or buy it. to listen to it, "she said. "But in real life, me, it's more important than me as an artist.As a citizen, that's the role."
A byproduct of her new album is that the often private singer tries something that some fans never thought of seeing: Streisand is scheduled to appear on Thursday in a segment of "Carpool Karaoke" in "The Late Late Show with James Corden".
The superstar tweeted a glimpse of her appearance and revealed that she had delivered herself to a few firsts with Corden.
