According to documents filed Wednesday at the California Superior Court in San Francisco, Judge Suzanne Bolanos was considering accepting the company's petition for a new punitive damages lawsuit.
On August 10, a jury ruled that Monsanto had failed to warn school guardians, Dewayne Johnson, as well as other consumers, of the cancer risks posed by its herbicides. He awarded $ 39 million in compensatory damages and $ 250 million in punitive damages.
