The Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., based in Chico, is asking brewers across the country to prepare its IPA Proudience Butte County Fier on Nov. 27 and to donate 100% of the proceeds from relief actions to victims of the deadly Camp Fire in California.
Managing Director and founder, Ken Grossman, explained the effort in a note on the Sierra Nevada website.
"I'm sending a letter to the brewers across the country inviting them to join us in this effort." We're working with suppliers of malt, hops and yeast to provide raw ingredient donations to all the participating breweries and ask them to give 100% of their sales to the fund, as well, "said Grossman.
"We know that the rebuilding process will take time, but we are here for the long term." Our hope is to get IPA resilience in chat rooms across the country to create a solid start for the future of our community. "
