Belichick undecided if Josh Gordon will play against Miami

Fans of the New England Patriots are still waiting to see wide receiver Josh Gordon join the team, which could greatly help the Patriots' aerial attack.

Gordon landed in New England after missing Week 2 of the season due to a hamstring injury, which prompted the Cleveland Browns to move him. The 27-year-old was inactive last week in the Patriots' 26-10 loss to the Detroit Lions, but was seen on the field hovering around the body receiving the Patriots.

Patriot coach Bill Belichick has congratulated Gordon several times since arriving in Massachusetts.

"Josh works hard on and off the field," Belichick said Friday. "He did everything he could."

So, is he physically and mentally ready to start Sunday for the New England game against the Miami Dolphins?

"We'll see," Belichick said.

In fact, this is Belichick's expected answer.

Nevertheless, Gordon's impact on the Patriots' attack could be huge – especially since the attack is one of the least productive of the NFL so far this season. New England is currently ranked No. 25 overall offensive yards per game, No. 26 in passing passes per game and No. 25 in points per game.

Now, Gordon has not played a full season in the NFL since 2013 – where he recorded 1,646 yards and nine touchdowns on 87 receptions. If he can recover from his hamstring injury and play as he did that year in New England, the Patriots could only enjoy it.

But are we finally going to see him on the pitch this weekend?

"We will see."
