Birds of Prey from DC unveils Cassandra Cain

The role of Cassandra Cain in Birds of prey was filled by newcomer Ella Jay Basco. Despite some early problems, the DCEU seems to be moving forward with a variety of different projects. One of them is Margot Robbie's return of Harley Quinn in an all-female team film.

Robbie started as Harley Quinn in 2016 Suicide team, and many are surprised that she has not already returned to the big screen. One of the most promising is that of Cassandra Cain and we finally know who will play it.

Variety reports that the search for Birds of preyCassandra Cain finished. Newcomer Ella Jay Basco has earned the coveted role, which could be a major starting point for her career. The young actress recently made appearances on Teachers, Veep, Superior Donutsand several other television shows. His role in Cain will be his first feature film, judging by his known credits.

The unknown status of Basco should fit well with the role of Cain, who is perhaps also a character with whom many are unfamiliar. She is the daughter of the assassins David Cain and Lady Shiva, who trained their daughter from an early age to become a deadly assassin. Later in her story in the DC Comics pages, she was adopted by Bruce Wayne and became a member of the Bat family. Cain is the fourth character to take the Batgirl coat, but VarietyJustin Kroll said on Twitter he does not believe that this aspect of the character will be included in Birds of prey.

Parcel details previously reported for Birds of prey said she was allegedly kidnapped by Black Mask (Ewan McGregor) and that the goal of Harley, Huntress and Black Canary to save her from the crime head becomes a goal. But, Variety reports that the women's team will actually be responsible for protecting Cain after discovering a diamond belonging to Black Mask. This should keep Cain quite involved throughout the film, which opens up the doors of his killer instinct and his potential for action to make him the movie's thief of the movie. Many have compared it to LoganUsing X-23, where Dafne Keen was a fan favorite thanks to his vicious action scenes.
