A shocking video shows a woman bringing an infant to the door of a Texas home before finally leaving it there.
In the video footage of the Ring camera, we see the woman ring the bell and knock on the door. She turns around and returns to her car, leaving the little boy on the porch, disconcerted.
When the owners in Houston opened their doors at 8:20 pm. Wednesday night, they discovered the 2-year-old boy. They had no idea who he was.
Courtney Fischer is a reporter for KTRK in Houston and talked about this incident at Inside Edition.
"She just left the kid, starts running and comes out as if nothing had happened," said Courtney Fischer, reporter at KTRK. "This little boy is left looking around, he does not know what's going on, God be praised, someone was at home in this house to let him in."
The video contained important clues, including the monkey-shaped kid's backpack that the woman is wearing. She has long hair falling behind her waist and distinctive tattoos on her right arm. She spun in a white sedan.
Fischer went around the neighborhood to see if anyone could identify the boy or woman who left him. When she spoke to a man named Willie Simmons, he said that the child was his son.
In the end, he lives next to the house where the child was abandoned.
"I'm angry! I'm upset!" Simmons told Inside Edition. "Every time I watch the video, I get more and more angry because if it was her child, she would not have left it."
He told Inside Edition that his son's name was Prince Simmons and that the woman who had left him at the door was a friend of the child's mother.
The mother reportedly asked the girlfriend to drop the child at her father's house, but she went to the wrong address.
"Imagine if my nice neighbors were not there?" Said Simmons. "My son would have wandered in the street and would have been hit, just imagine that no one would have been, he would have just walked."
