The blind auditions of season 15 are nearing completion.
NBC Season 15 The voice continued with more blind hearings on Tuesday night. Coaches Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson competed for the best artists, hoping to consolidate their teams before the battles.
Caeland Garner was the first to sing a cover story inspired by King Harvest's "Dancing in the Moonlight". Garner said he was friends with former competitor Red Marlow. It had a similar rock-country vibe, and it made Hudson and Shelton turn. Garner unsurprisingly chooses the Blake team.
Madison Cain failed to turn the page with her rude interpretation of Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know." Clarkson noted that she should have brought more emotion to the performance. She ended up being chosen for the online series of the series. The step back.
The next artist, Lela, played "Havana" by Camila Cabello, singing part of the song in Spanish. She gave a remarkable performance and presented an impressive range and style. Clarkson shot first, but Hudson joined shortly thereafter. Lela landed on the Jennifer team.
Cody Ray Raymond then sang Albert King's "Born Under a Bad Sign" while playing the electric guitar. He gave a gruesome blues performance and assured Clarkson and Hudson tricks. Surprisingly, Levine did not turn around, but he ended up regretting it. Raymond chose Clarkson as a coach.
In singing Ryan Adams' "When the Stars Go Blue", Jake Wells only managed to get a Levine turn with his smooth falsetto. He joined the Adam team by default.
Abby Cates then auditioned and sang "Scars to Your Beautiful" by Alessia Cara. Only Clarkson turned around, so she found herself in the Kelly team.
Funsho closed the night singing "Finesse" by Bruno Mars. He also impressively hit some high marks, and Levine, Hudson and Clarkson all turned around. Levine called him one of the best singers to have ever been on the show. That went around: Funsho joined the Adam team.
The voice will complete the blind auditions during the first hour of his episode next Monday, followed by an hour of battles.
