The bodies of 11 family members – including 10 hanged and blindfolded – were found Sunday in a house in the Indian capital, police said.
Investigators uncovered bodies in Burari village in New Delhi after receiving a call Sunday morning informing them that some "family members have committed suicide" – but surviving parents insisted that it was a murder.

the police found handwritten notes that indicated an "observance of certain spiritual or mystical practices defined by the whole family."
"Coincidentally, these notes have a strong similarity to the way mouths, eyes, and so on. of the deceased were tied and stuck. "The victims were identified as a 77-year-old woman, her two sons and their wives, a daughter and five grandchildren."

While a note was found, police said it did not seem like a suicide note. The investigators, however, were investigating whether their death had committed suicide or whether they had been murdered
. There was no bullet mark on the victims' bodies and no signs of forced entry into the house, according to police.
The bodies of the 10 family members who were found hanged were bandaged with cotton and pieces of cloth. They were hanging on an iron grill used as a fan in the yard of the house, the investigators added.
