At least seven Palestinians were killed and 90 others wounded by the Israeli army while taking part in demonstrations along the buffer zone between Gaza and Israel, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.

In a statement, ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qidra updated the death toll, saying Muhammed Esref el-Avavide, 26, was also martyred by Israeli gunfire.

Earlier, al-Qidra said that Mohamed Inshani, 18, Iyad Khalil al-Shaer, 18, Mohamed Nayef al-Houm, 14, Mohamed Shahsa, 24, Mohamed Walid Mustafa Haniyyah, 32, and Nasir Musbih, 12 years. gunshots of the army.

According to Al-Qidra, 90 Palestinian soldiers, including 35 children and four women, were wounded – two seriously – by Israeli troops deployed across the buffer zone.

Protesters – who have been organizing demonstrations since March 30 – are demanding the "right of return" in their homes in historic Palestine, from where they were pushed in 1948 to make way for the new state of Israel.

They also call for an end to the 11-year Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip, which ravaged the economy of the coastal enclave and deprived its two million people of basic products.

According to the Ministry of Health, more than 180 Palestinians have been martyred – and thousands have been injured – since the start of rallies six months ago.
