BMW Championship live blog: Keegan Bradley beats Justin Rose in a playoff Monday at Aronimink

[ad_1]

We have a window! At least that's what the meteorologists say. Let's hope it's a little bigger than those Phil Mickelson is trying to adapt to recovery plans. In any case, the game resumed at BMW Championship after a full wash Sunday. And the plan is to try to finish this third leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs on Monday. So, if you're stuck at the office, keep it here for the latest scores, news, and highlights from the final round at Aronimink. (All times ET)

14h45: And if you did not think that this finish could get crazier, you were wrong. At the exit of Golf Channel, Johnny Millers starts choking on Keegan's victory. What a day.

2:39: Unreal. After taking an incredible break, Justin Rose leaves his putt of the bangs four feet off the ground and misses his par-putt. Keegan Bradley has been on par and his first PGA Tour title for more than six years. Sensational.

2:25: Madness continues as Rose does something similar to what Bradley did on regulation number 18. After hanging his disk to the left, his approach enters the stands. This time, the ball bounces on the bangs, a fantastic break. Bradley goes long with his approach and will be absent.

2:15 p.m.: He comes out of the lips! Wow! Rose's putt was halfway up before wrapping around the hole and going out. That means he's going to play in sets with Keegan Bradley. It also means that he will for the first time be ranked first in the official world golf rankings with at least a second solo. But what a crazy finale to regulation with Bradley and Rose bogeying 18 after both birdieing 16 and 17.

2:13: Xander Schauffele's birdie attempt is explained by the fact that we are two-player with a chance to win at Aronimink. Justin Rose faces a 15-foot win and. . .

2:10: The fight continues for leaders on 18 while Rose's chip arrives at about 15 feet less. Meanwhile, Xander Schauffele will face a putt of the same length for a birdie that could lead to a three-game series with Rose and Keegan Bradley. . .

2:06: Pause breaks, people. This thing is not over yet. Rose is coming to a close with the approach of 18. He will now have to get up to gain regulation. . .

2:01: The by Bradley putt has no chance, missing bad on the low side. He is looking for a closing boguey and a total of 20 under par. Justin Rose, in the 18th fairway, only needs a peer for the win. Xander Schauffele, also in the 18th fairway, needs a birdie to force the playoffs.

1:59: After falling off the stands, Bradley hits a shot. He will have about eight feet left for par. Rose arrives at the 18th start and finds the driveway on the difficult final hole. Xander Schauffele was also found in the mix after making a long birdie on 17 to get to 19 under. He will need a Bradley bogey to have a chance. . .

1:55: Keegan Bradley's 18th hole turns out to be an adventure. After clinching the start, Bradley launched his approach from the muddy ground in the grandstand above the green. Meanwhile, Justin Rose rolled in a 15-foot birdie on No. 17 to shoot even. For the time being.

1:43: Keegan Bradley makes consecutive birdies on 16 and 17 to take (briefly) a two-stroke lead. Tiger Woods' five-year drought without a victory has caused much ink to flow, but Bradley's drought dates exactly one year ago. It's not going to be easy, though. Moments after Bradley's last birdie, Rose converted a birdie of her own number 16 into one. And then Bradley, one of the best golf ball drivers on tour, shot the 18th hole. Stay tuned. . .

1:27: Tiger Woods travels the 18th hole to shoot 65 and post 17 for the week. It will be another good result for the 14-year-old champion, but also another call to end this drought-free drought of more than five years. This week, the putter clearly held him back. While Woods is currently second in the pack in a green start, he ranks just 31st in the standings. He will have a week off to determine which of the three putters he has used in the first three playoffs of the FedEx Cup that he will bring to the finals at East Lake.

1:23: Billy Horschel makes a birdie with two shots on number 16 to equalize again to 19 under. Meanwhile, Alex Schauffele makes a birdie the 15th difficult to shoot in a 18 under.

1:09: You'll never believe it, but Tiger did a great 12-foot shot at number 17 and. . . lack. Woods is heading to number 18 at five under the day and 17 under the week, but that will not be enough. On the plus side, he will be a dangerous quartet player at the Ryder Cup if he continues to drive to Paris in a few weeks.

1:02: After a bad start, Billy Horschel has trouble getting out of the race in 15th place. Here is how it is happening right now:

1t. Justin Rose (-19)
1t. Keegan Bradley (-19)
3. Billy Horschel (-18)
4t. Tiger Woods (-17)

12:53: Tiger Woods finally makes a length putt, rolling in a birdie of about 15 feet on 16th place. However, he still has two shots, from Justin Rose, Billy Horschel, and Keegan Bradley, who makes his own 15-foot par-3 14th.

12:33: After two perfect shots on the 15th par 4, the toughest hole of the course, Woods misses out from within nine feet. Meanwhile, Justin Rose converts a short birdie putt on No. 12 to 19 cents. Woods is three years old and has three players to play. Billy Horschel and Keegan Bradley remain at 18.

12:25: It seems like we could see this interesting sub-plot Jordan Spieth after all. Spieth misses a birdie on No. 18 to shoot twice on 73 and finish at three cents. He is currently T-54 in the tournament and, more importantly, a 31st draft FedEx Cup. That means that right now, Spieth do not qualify for the Tour Championship in two weeks. In addition to that, he faces a fine and possible (albeit improbable) suspension not to add a new tournament to its schedule and not to start the 25 PGA Tour. Spieth planned to go to East Lake to reach this minimum number.

12:18: Too bad for Tiger in full expansion. After a little delay at the 14th start, he finds a bunker on the edge of the ground and can not get up and down. A boguey brings him back to 16 and under but ends his chances of winning that thing. That said, the wind is rising in Newtown Square. . .

12:05: STROKE! Tiger Woods is still in this business, guys. Woods throws a 10-foot birdie on No. 13 to get to 17 under and inside one of the leaders.

The problem is that he is running out of holes to make a move, but he has at least made an exciting Monday.

11:58: By the way, are you digging down Tiger's red sweater? You are not alone.

If Tiger succeeds, Nike will sell some for the fall season.

11:47: Justin Rose and Xander Schauffele scored the birdie par-5 9th in the final group. Meanwhile, the play partner, Rory McIlroy, takes another pair despite the fact that he has passed the green in two. Here is an overview of the top of the league table:

1t. Justin Rose (-18)
1t. Keegan Bradley (-18)
1t. Billy Horschel (-18)
4t. Xander Schauffele (-17)
4t. Webb Simpson (-17)

11:32: The Scotty Cameron buys himself a five-foot birdie on No. 11. Again, Woods, at 16 under, probably needs at least 20 cents to get a chance, which would mean four cents in his last seven holes . . He is now two strokes from Billy Horschel and Keegan Bradley, who has managed one of his five feet for the birdie at number 9.

11:25: After bogie the 10th hole, Tiger almost took his approach shot on number 11. While he should (focus on "should") make a birdie to return to 16 under he will need a lot more work ranking. What has helped is that the last group of Justin Rose, Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele has only eight holes.

11:21: Billy Horschel birdies on the 9th par 5 to become the first player to reach 18 under. Horschel, who is looking for a fifth career victory on the PGA Tour, is making his 30th game.

11:14: An ugly hole for Tiger ends with his first boguey of the day. Woods found a right bunker on the fairway at the 10th tee, led his mid-skull approach just over the pond and the putting green and failed to get up. It's two strokes behind a trio of players (Justin Rose, Billy Horschel and Keegan Bradley) at 17 under.

10:57: After two big shots, Tiger found the front of the putting green on 9th place, but his eagle ran eight feet from the hole. Woods empties his birdie putt to end up at 16 under and unless shot from the head. It's an outgoing 31 by Woods as he positions himself (again) to get a first win on his last comeback. He drags Justin Rose and Billy Horschel by one on a table of stars.

10:40: Woods drives a birdie on the par-3 8 to 6 feet away, but the reinstatement stays at 15 under. Meanwhile, with a third consecutive birdie, Billy Horschel joins Justin Rose at age 17.

Horschel won this event in 2014 and then won the league championship by becoming the most surprising winner of the FedEx Cup since the playoffs began in 2007.

10h30: With none of the leaders down, there are now 14 golfers within three shots of Justin Rose at 17 under par. With soaked Aronimink, the PGA Tour has moved the tees to around 400 yards. However, temperatures below 60, winds of 15 mph and juicy make the game a little more difficult than the first three days.

10:15 Tiger stuffs an approach about six feet over the number 7 and. . . missing the birdie putt. Wrong. "It's the type of putts he's always done in his day," says Johnny Miller. What did people say when he missed easy putts at his peak? Anyway, there are still two strokes back, but it was a lost opportunity.

10h00: Golf Channel arrives on the air just in time to show Tiger Woods playing birdie on the 6th hole.

A second consecutive birdie and a third in his first six holes allowed Woods to move from T-11 to T-4. He has only two more shots behind Justin Rose.

9:53 Justin Rose bounces birdie on the second hole from behind the green to 17 under the solo. If the English wins, he will move to the first place in the official world golf ranking for the first time.

9:51 Tiger Woods throws a 16-footer on the par-3 5th to go two under the day and 14 under for the tournament, just two shots behind that tie to four for the lead.

9:40 Justin Rose bug the first hole and oh boy, do we have a stuck dash? Here is an overview of the situation:

1t. Justin Rose (-16)
1t. Xander Schauffele (-16)
1t. Tommy Fleetwood (-16)
1t. Rory McIlroy (-16)
5t. Rickie Fowler (-15)
5t. Keegan Bradley (-15)

9:33: Rory McIlroy misses a 15-foot birdie on the first hole to start her last lap. McIlroy enters the day tied for second place, just a shot behind the leader of the night (Justin Rose). It has been a somewhat disappointing season for the four-time major, but he has a great chance of winning a second win of the season and positioning himself to claim / steal a second FedEx Cup. Plus, he's already winning this week to this wacky call to Ryder Cup captain Thomas Bjorn requesting $ 20,000 of cryotherapy chambers for all members of the team.

9:21: Tommy Fleetwood opens with a birdie to move in a shot of Justin Rose's head. Fleetwood has just returned 62 times and is again in a good position to win this first title on the PGA Tour.

9:10: The Tiger 59 Watch refreshes on the second hole after Woods misses a nine-foot birdie. The 14-year-old champion returned to Scotty Cameron's putter with which he won 13 majors before the tournament and it seemed like a stroke of genius after the opening of 62. But after winning more than two shots Thursday, Woods has one of the negative hits on the greens since. It's a shame because his ball hit was fantastic in the first three stages of the FedEx Cup.

9:05: In case you're wondering how to watch the final, Golf Channel will broadcast live from 10 am. In other words, you have about an hour to do all your work for the day. In addition, at least half of the 69 players must finish their turn today or return to a 54-hole tournament. In this scenario, Justin Rose would win. We think he's not as thrilled with Monday's unexpected weather window as everyone else.

8:53: Tiger Woods is on 59 Look again! OK, so he only played one hole, but a birdie (he rolled in a 12 foot on the # 1) is a good start. That being said, he might need a 59 to win that win. In fact, Data Golf calculated Woods' chances of winning at 35%. S & he shoots 59.

So, you say that there is a chance. . . Anyway, Woods goes 13 under the mark and tied for seventh place, four strokes from leader Justin Rose.
