Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess admit to being "shocked" by the victory of "DWTS" (Exclusive)

Dance with the stars On Monday, Bobby Bones and pro partner Sharna Burgess won the coveted Mirrorball trophy, one of the most surprising surprises in the series' history.

Katie Krause of ET caught up with the excited pair after the show, and they spoke openly about their big win, which was won after weeks of poor scores, but tons of votes from viewers and fan support.

"We were shocked," Bones admitted. "You have to think about it, [when] we started the show, I had never danced before! "

"She's stuck with someone – she's finished [the show with] athletes and people who are like super [talented]She had Nick Carter and Antonio Brown, and suddenly she got Gumby, "added Bones. I can not believe we won. "

The 38-year-old radio host, who has forged a close friendship with the long-time group DWTS pro, said the best part of the win is that Burgess finally wins his own Mirrorball trophy.

"Generally, I'm happy for her – I'm happiest for frickin 'Sharna because she deserved it," Bones said.

It's the 12th consecutive season that Burgess is participating in the season long dance competition series, starting with season 16 in November 2011, and it's the first time she's clinching the win after reaching the final and having been terribly closed four times before.

"It's probably the most beautiful victory I could have won more than seven [years], "Burgess said." The trip we did together, what we represented, and having a Mirrorball trophy at the end of it, is just beautiful. "

The native of Nashville, Tennessee, easily admitted that it was thanks to Burgess that he was able to dance.

While Bobby's boundless positivity and joie de vivre earned him a dedicated clientele during his career in the series, there was still some animosity from critics and foes who felt he did not deserve to remain in the competition, while other dancers, whom they judged to be more competitive qualified or gaining higher scores of judges, continued to be eliminated.

The criticism got so much worse during the season that Bones finally turned off comments from his various social media platforms, in an effort to stop the flaming wars that were still going on between his fans and his enemies.

"I did not turn it off because it was [about] to beat me, but because my people were fighting them and I did not want that to happen, "shared Bones. I try to remove any kind of negativity from my space because once it's in me and around me, it affects me. So I eliminated it. "

"I was not angry," he added. "People say things all the time, and they have the absolute right to have their opinion, but I try to keep the right people around because it makes me a better person."

Obviously, Bones was positive enough for him and Mirrorball's shimmering trophy, as well as Burgess. The 33-year-old Australian dancer revealed that she already knew what she was going to do new equipment.

"I think I'll probably keep it for a while," Burgess said. "It's really heavy, my arms are going to have an incredible shape … [but] I will bring it everywhere with me for a while. "

As for Bones, he said that he would keep it nearby, specifically in his bed.

While Bones has already been crowned winner of season 27, his DWTS trip has not ended yet.

It was revealed in the final of the season on Monday that Bones would join the Dance with the stars: Live! A night to remember, a live national tour featuring several of DWTS the pros and some of the dynamic competitors of the season.

And Bones is not the only member of the season 27 cast to be registered to be part of the tour. Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider, Bachelor in ParadiseJoe Amabile, Disney Channel star Milo Manheim, famed Olympian Mary Lou Retton and Fuller House star Juan Pablo di Pace will also be back at the DWTS family as part of the show.
