Malek is hailed for his performance in Bohemian Rhapsody, which is set to become one of the most popular music films of all time. This success has always been achieved despite poor reviews, persistent difficulties and difficulties encountered during the production process.
In an interview with US television last month, Malek described the moment when Mercury's sister, Kashmira Cooke, had seen it dismantled.
He told Jimmy Kimmel: "I met her sister.She saw me as young Freddie with long hair, teeth, makeup, the 1970s and her early glam-rock look. "
But in a surprising turn of events, an overworked Cooke "laughed".
He added, "As you can imagine, it was an extremely strange and strange moment for her."
When Kimmel said that he was waiting for her to be in tears, Malek said, "Later, it was a very moving moment.
"On a serious note, she wrote me the most moving e-mail, it was very powerful.
"Getting this vote of appreciation from people who were close to him was everything to me."
It was not only Mercury's family who supported Malek, but her fellow Queen, Brian May, was also very appreciative.
"It's amazing … without a doubt he will be on the list of well-deserved Oscar nominations," he told the Press Association.
"He lived Freddie to the point where we even started to think of him as Freddie. Really remarkable.
