Well, last year, Brazil recorded a record number of homicides – 63,000 people were killed here violently last year. This is an extraordinary figure that has really shaped the way Brazilians see the future and their options. On the other hand, a lot of the political elite, a lot of parties that have become, you know, a kind of ruling class, if you like, have gotten stuck in this massive corruption investigation that has revealed as you know, some of the country's largest companies are essentially corrupt and institutionally corrupt.
Jair Bolsonaro came in and said, you know, how many lawmakers can say that they have absolutely no allegation of corruption? You know, I am pure and I will not spare anyone in my quest to restore order and reverse the status quo in Brasilia, which has made the capital a hotbed of corruption.
