Bond is back. After Danny Boyle was ejected last month, the twenty-fifth James Bond will continue with director Cary Joji Fukunaga at the helm.
The producers of the Bond series revealed the news in a tweet today. The change slightly delays the timing of the next 007 adventure: Bond 25 will start shooting at Pinewood Studios in London on March 4, 2019, and will be released a little less than a year later, on February 14, 2020.
For the moment, Bond 25 will probably be Daniel Craig's latest film playing 007 before finally hanging up his Walther PPK.
American director Fukunaga is best known for leading the first season of True Detective, as well as for Netflix productions. Maniacal, the first of which are tomorrow, and Beasts of No Nation, with Idris Elba.
