Search for Bond 25the director is new – and three competitors have already emerged. Once MGM and EON Productions have convinced Daniel Craig to come back for the fifth time as James Bond, the next decision is who will lead. The studios considered several notable names before passing the equipment to Danny Boyle. He worked closely with his Trainspotting Collaborator John Hodges wrote a screenplay, but then creative differences for Boyle's direction and cast led to him leaving.
His exit immediately sounded the alarm for Bond 25 as the film was to go into production at the end of the year. This is now unlikely as a new Bond 25 the script is necessary and the director must be found. Previous reports indicated previous finalists for Bond 25 can be once again, with Jean-Marc Vallée, Edgar Wright and Christopher McQuarrie.

Variety now reports three new contenders to Bond 25concert executive Yann Demange, who was in the running before Boyle's hiring, is the one who has already played this role. However, it seems that studios are also revolving around two new names. American animals director Bart Layton and Jessica Jones director SJ Clarkson – who has already signed for Star Trek 4 – are also under study. Producers of Bond 25 we still need to have meetings with Layton and Clarkson, but hopefully those will soon be blocked.
Demange already has a head start on her new competition after already meeting the producers earlier this year. It seems that another meeting can now occur as the Bond 25 the producers want to see the last cup of Demange's last film, Rick White Boy. The crime film directed by Matthew McConaughey is expected to be released next week. It should not be too difficult to get a projection and determine if Demange is the choice this time.
Layton is a long-time documentary maker, writer and producer, but his first feature film American animals has been a huge hit with critics this year. The indie filmmaker presents Barry Keoghan, Blake Jenner and Evan Peters as ambitious thieves. American animals currently holds an 87% mark for Rotten Tomatoes, so it is not surprising that the British director is under study.
Clarkson, meanwhile, has already landed a big franchise film, so Bond 25 could be the last to come in his own way. If she is the choice, she would be the first woman to lead a link movie. She is ready to do the same with Star Trek, so after addressing episodes of Jessica Jones, The defenders, and Orange is the new black for Netflix, she came to the top of several lists in Hollywood. Once these meetings are over, hopefully Bond 25 will have its new director up, and it does not seem like the studio can go wrong with any of these choices.
