A southern California city has given the green light this week to the Elon Musk tunnel digging company, The Boring Company, to build an underground car lift.
Yes, a car lift that would take your vehicle from your street-level garage to an underground chamber that connects to the growing tunnel network of the drilling company.
Musk is testing what it says is one day a high-speed underground transport system and the latest development tests the direct access of homes to the 100 km / h electric pod system in tunnels below.
A 2-mile test tunnel in Hawthorne, California (just south of Los Angeles International Airport) is nearing completion, which seems to be part of the next phase. The Boring Company, or TBC, returned Tuesday to Hawthorne City Council and got full approval to build a garage connector test well.

All this sounds and looks like a complicated way for commuters to avoid all car traffic, as Musk – who also builds cars – despises.
