Boston Dynamics will definitely win the first Ninja Warrior Robot

The future favorite robot lords of all are back with a new trick: parkour. Boston Dynamics, of SoftBank, today released a short video that shows his bipolar robot Atlas, a humanoid, flying over a newspaper, before showing some serious seriousness as he jumps to the top of a set of staggered housings.

This is another feather in Massachusetts small business, which for years has fun regularly launch new robots with new features, despite its abandonment by Google. While it is not yet clear whether Boston Dynamics will find paying customers for these robots, just look at the list of things that Boston Dynamics robots can do:

Now that this parkour has been added to this list, I hereby propose a free idea which, hopefully, will be apprehended by a media conglomerate: Robot Ninja Warrior. Think of it as a restart of DARPA's robotic challenge, but with bleachers full of powerful fans, lots of flashing lights and loud music, and lots of #robotfails. Or maybe another restart of American gladiators. We can have our best, our strongest and our fastest against robots like Atlas. The loser gets knocked down on a giant and fluffy gym mat. The winner must lead the world.
