KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee's Tennessee starting center, Brandon Kennedy, suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee on Tuesday.

Pruitt stated that Kennedy was standing when the injury occurred and that "nobody bent in him".

Kennedy, who has left Alabama, still has one year of eligibility.

"It's very unfortunate, but as I told him, he's still a year old and has already experienced that," Pruitt said. "He seems to be in a good mood."

Kennedy's injury has been reported for the first time by Volquest.com.

Kennedy suffered a fracture in Alabama last year in practice and missed the rest of the season.

Sophomore Ryan Johnson, who started the right guard in the West's defeat of the season, will pass to center Saturday against East Tennessee State. Pruitt said the fact that the Flights were moving a lot of players during the pre-season on the offensive line should help them.

"We have a lot of confidence in our offensive line," Pruitt said.
