Scooter Braun says he once believed that Justin Bieber would die in his sleep.
The 37-year-old music director talked about the singer's dark past "What Do You Mean? The red pill Podcast.
"I thought he was going to die," Braun said candidly about Bieber, 24, in the discussion released Wednesday. "I thought he was going to go to sleep one night and have so much bullshit in his system that he would not wake up the next morning."
Braun explained, "There was a moment when I fell asleep almost every night, when he had money to fly me away, and every night I was worried about losing him.

As Braun sees it, Bieber – who is engaged to 21-year-old Hailey Baldwin – has adopted a healthier lifestyle, all thanks to Bieber's determination.
"I think he's made a conscious choice for himself to change," Braun said on The red pill. "It was only one day that he woke up and said," Hey, I have to talk to you. I do not want to be that person anymore. He made the decision to change and put it into practice. The result is who he has become today. "

Speaking on Lathan The red pill podcast, Braun reflected on the criticism of Bieber's behavior. "I think Justin is an extraordinary young man who has had an extraordinary life, and because of that, he can not complain about his respect for extraordinary standards," said Braun. "He used to complain, he used to fight him, and that's what brought him to a dark place."
Braun continued, "But when he accepted his responsibility and looked hard at himself and not what everyone was doing, it was at that moment that he became the owner. He made the choice to change.
