His point: literally nobody tells these guys to smile, so why should Captain Marvel be treated differently? And if you think that the initial tweet was a unique case of sexism, unfortunately, it was not. So it's reassuring to see so many people saying "no" to trolls on the Internet about it. Fortunately, Larson was not too affected by the shenanigans. The actor added some photos to her story on Instagram with reference to it, which indicated that she had caught everything off guard. The actor shared some of the Avengers' men's teams with their nerdy and photoshopped smiles. And she also shared a message with her fans telling them that they should not smile. "Latest news: you can be yourself, that means you can smile or not," she wrote in part.

We can not say for sure why the original tweet offered photoshopped images of Captain Marvel. Was the user malicious or was he just attracting attention? It's hard to say.
