Brie Larson has learned to smile more like Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel maybe an action movie, but that did not stop the internet trolls from telling star Brie Larson that she should smile more.

After the trailer for Marvel's superhero movie on Tuesday, the trolls began posting their unsolicited opinions on Larson's facial expression. A Twitter user even went up to photoshop with a smile on Larson's photos for the role.

Fortunately, Larson had the perfect answer to sexist feedback. The Oscar took advantage of his story to share some images of Marvel's male superheroes with smiles on their faces. The images that resulted were, of course, frightening and clearly illustrated the double standard based on the sex of the complaint "smile more".

"Latest news: you can be you. It means you can smile or not, "Larson wrote on Instagram, according to Uproxx. "You can be strong as you wish. You can own who you are. If someone tells you different, do not trust them.
