British taxi rapist to remain in jail, 0073ays Parole Board

LONDON – A committee of the UK parole board has ordered a serial rapist to attack more than 100 women in prison.

The commission ruled on Monday that John Worboys, 61, a former London taxi driver convicted in 2009 of raping or sexually assaulting 12 women he had taken as passengers, was not fit to to be freed.

The decision overturns an earlier decision that would have given Worboys a conditional release.

His victims challenged this release because Worboys had only been tried on a few cases. They argued that the jury should have considered that 102 women had laid charges against him.

Worboys denied having committed any other offenses than those for which he had been sentenced.
