#Jaguars swap fifth-round pick against #Browns for Carlos Hyde, a source said.
Hyde, 28, has amassed 382 yards and five touchdowns in six games this season and will give the Jaguars an extra depth of field alongside TJ Yeldon and Leonard Fournette miss their third consecutive game because of an injury to the # 39; hamstring.

Jags' decision to trade against Carlos Hyde stems from growing frustration inside the building – and especially at coaches – about Fournette's extended absence. Built the offensive around him, the hamstring problem continues to linger
Hyde, who spent the first four years of his career at San Francisco 49ers, signed a $ 15.3 million three-year contract with the Browns during the off-season.
And despite an impressive number of touchdowns, Hyde did not meet his expectations, recording 3.4 yards per game at the lowest career in the first month and a half of the season. As noted by Matthew Berry of ESPN.com, some of this mediocre production could have been fueled by the Cleveland Offensive Line:

Carlos Hyde moves from the 28th offensive line in terms of number of yards per race BEFORE the first contact until the 9th. Hyde is currently ranked 43rd out of 46 RBs in the metric. If he's even just average over there and all the rest stays the same, he adds 1.03 yards to his YPC average.
In contrast, rookie Nick Chubb snatched a stellar-And unsustainable– 10.8 yards per race on 16 races. To date, the second-round pick has accumulated 173 yards and two touchdowns, making it a real hitter at home out of the backfield.
Before the move was made, head coach Hue Jackson said the team needed to find ways to attract more Chubb.
"He has to get some," Jackson said earlier this month, according to Cleveland.com. Mary Kay Cabot. "Hyde plays well, but this guy scores touchdowns from far away."
As for Jaguars, the addition of Hyde is a low-risk gesture that will give them peace of mind in the event that Fournette is absent for longer than expected.
according to Spotrac, the Jaguars will save $ 3.6 million and will only eat $ 2.3 million in fixed assets if they reduce Hyde before June 1.
