Actor Bruce Dern was released from the hospital Friday night and is "in a good mood" after a fall during his daily run in Los Angeles earlier in the day, according to his representative.

Dern, 82, has fractured his hip after the fall of Runyon Canyon, said his representative at TMZ.

The accident happened when Dern slipped on gravel while jogging, said Variety the manager of the Oscar-winning actor.

The Los Angeles fire department responded to the scene, reported TMZ.

Dern starred in the movie "Nebraska" in 2013 as Woodrow T.'s character "Woody" Grant, earning him an Oscar nomination for Best Actor.
