Outside of Tampa or Chicago, no one could predict that the Bucs and Bears would be the first two teams in Week 4.
Of course, there is still a lot of time at the beginning of the program. Yet both teams are ahead of schedule.
Although the Buccaneers (2-1) lost 30-27 to Pittsburgh last Monday night, their attack behind quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was dynamic. Fitzpatrick started all three games as starter Jameis Winston was suspended and made a strong argument for keeping the job. Fitz leads the NFL with 1230 passing yards and is second with 11 TD passes. He is the only player in league history to have accumulated more than 400 yards in three consecutive games.
Winston has certainly been impressed and promises not to make waves.
"It's the success of the team. I'm not a selfish player, it's about our team, "Winston said. "We are doing great things, and we must continue to do so."
Chicago (2-1) makes big efforts in defense. Trade with Oakland for Khalil Mack had a huge impact in the Windy City, offsetting a poor foul.
Mack is tied for the league lead with four sacks, with at least one sack per game and leads the NFL with three forced fumbles.
"What he did, is completely advance all the others in defense," said coach Matt Nagy. "When that happens, it's rare to have a guy who assigns a team like that."
Week 4 started with Jared Goff for a total of 465 yards and five touchdowns and a perfect quarterback in a 38-31 win over Minnesota. The Rams are 4-0, while the Vikings are 1-2-1 and have not won since the opening day.

Baltimore (2-1) at Pittsburgh (1-1-1)

The Steelers have won nine straight games Sunday night, twice as many as the Ravens. But Baltimore resumed with the attack, with Joe Flacco on a strong start, helped by three new receivers. Newcomer Michael Crabtree leads the Ravens with 15 catches and needs six to reach 600 in his career.
It is likely that Pittsburgh gets the best blocker David DeCastro for Ben Roethlisberger, who is 21-3 in the first regular season at home, scoring 55 touchdowns and 16 steals. Roethlisberger launched a TD pass in 45 consecutive home games, the third longest stretch in NFL history.
If it comes down to kicking, Baltimore has a huge advantage. Ravens' Justin Tucker has scored eight goals over 50 yards and has the highest percentage of FG (90.0) in NFL history. Chris Boswell of Pittsburgh has only one of his four goals on the field. the three missing are his 2017 total.
Kansas City (3-0) to Denver (2-1), Monday night

Another showcase of prime time that deserves to be watched is a series of streaks. The Chiefs have taken five straight defeats in a row. The offensive is in fashion: Kansas City is the third NFL team to score 38 points or more in its first three games (Patriots 2007, 16-0, Colts 1967, 11-1-2).
Patrick Mahomes set an NFL record with 13 TDs through three games and zero interception to lead the league with a score of 137.4. The second year QB credits the depth of talent around him.
"Guys everywhere," said Mahomes. "Knowing that I have these weapons, whenever someone needs to take a break, we say that if you're tired, take a break because I know I can trust the next comer."
The Chiefs can be scored, and Denver played in the third game of the NFL with rookies Royce Freeman and Phillip Lindsay, the first non-defeated player to eclipse 100 yards in his first two games in the NFL.
In addition, linebacker Von Miller, tied with four sacks, is an enemy of the leaders: Miller has eight sacks, 11 tackles against Kansas City.
Miami (3-0) to New England (1-2)

Yes, the Patriots have so dominated the AFC East that we have forgotten that there are other teams in the division. That's the only team that Tom Brady has dropped, 10 times. Of course, he beat the Dolphins 21 times.
Indeed, the last time the Dolphins won in New England, it was in 2008, when Brady was injured in the knee.

Cleveland (1-1-1) to Oakland (0-3)
There are good vibrations near Lake Erie and bad ones in the Bay Area.
The Browns earned their first victory in 18 games by defeating the Jets, and the overall draft pick, Baker Mayfield, set the stage for the starting quarterback. Their defense has been relatively strong, led by Myles Garrett.
Oakland's decision to trade his best player, Mack, and the 0-3 lead, only rekindled Jon Gruden's return. The Raiders are the last of the NFL with three sacks and are tied for last place with a draw. They were beaten 37-3 in the fourth quarter and are the second team in the last 20 years to take the 0-3 start when they were all three at halftime.
Detroit (1-2) in Dallas (1-2)
The Lions won with this surprisingly dominant victory over New England. They have the highest ranked passing offense, but they are also a sieve against the defense race.
While Dallas is having such trouble throwing the ball, the RB Ezekiel Elliott must be very busy. Elliott is tied with 49ers' Matt Breida for the NFL lead with 274 yards.
San Francisco (1-2) to the Los Angeles Chargers (1-2)
The injuries probably ruined the 49ers' season. After giving Jimmy Garoppolo his big payday, they will be without him for the rest of the year after tearing his ACL against KC. C.J. Beathard, who led the team last year after the 1-5 event, takes the floor.
The Chargers have won the last four meetings and have a dangerous attack behind quarterback Philip Rivers and an accelerated racing game. Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler are the only pair of halfbacks on the same team with 250 passing yards or more.
Cincinnati (2-1) in Atlanta (1-2)
Injuries begin to ruin the Falcons season. They lost their safety with Ricardo Allen's bare hands with a torn Achilles tendon and he joined beginners Keanu Neal (knee), a strong security, and linebacker Deion Jones away. Jones underwent a foot operation and went out at least until 18 November.

After an easy defeat that could last, and with safety Jamal Adams saying that the Jets have not prepared for Mayfield when he replaced Tyrod Taylor in the Cleveland victory, New York starts in Jacksonville.
The Jets have won four straight wins in this series, but these games were mostly against weak Jaguars teams. After the Jags fought against Tennessee, they managed to get rid of rookie Sam Darnold with a defeat against the bag. And Darnold showed his feet happy against the Browns.
New Orleans (2-1) to New York Giants (1-2)
If Eli Manning gets protection, the Giants are competitive. This happened during last week's win in Houston, and the Saints were disappointed to defend the pass.
The level of excitement rises in the game as rookie Giants Saquon Barkley and Saints Alvin Kamara, offensive rookie of last year, face each other. Also intriguing: Saints WR Michael Thomas leads the league with 38 catches and 398 yards. His total is the best of the NFL in the first three games of a team. Odell Beckham Jr., of New York, has a respectable number of receptions, even if it pales in comparison to Thomas.
Seattle (1-2) to Arizona (0-3)
Two teams with fouls committed, although the Seahawks have the look of an indomitable force compared to Arizona.
The Cardinals rank last in all offensive categories and scored a total of 20 points. Now rookie Josh Rosen will start, and even though the Seattle defense no longer has a Legion-like boom, it can be tough and ranks eighth against the pass.

Houston (0-3) to Indianapolis (1-2)
Houston is probably the most disappointing team in the NFL, having taken over J.J. Watt, Whitney Mercilus and Deshaun Watson for injury, but not at all. Indeed, the last victory of the Texans took place in November 2017.
They seldom do well with Indy, who has a 25-7 advantage in the series. The Colts' next win will be 300th since their transfer from Baltimore to Indianapolis in 1984.
Adam Vinatieri needs a goal on the field to beat Morten Andersen's NFL record (565). Vinatieri also needs three attempts to overtake Gary Anderson (672) for the second time, and a match against George Blanda (340) for number 4.
