A list of embarrassing moments for the Jets

Here is the AP summary:

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) – Matt Barkley surprisingly unleashed Buffalo's formidable offense with two touchdown passes, including one against offensive tackle Dion Dawkins. Sean McCoy jumped off the season with 113 rushing yards and a pair of TDs, and the Bills embarrassed the New York Jets 41-10 on Sunday.

Fans demanded that coach Todd Bowles be fired immediately.

Barkley made his first start in almost two years and was the best of the four quarterbacks that the Bills (3-7) trotted out this season. The 28-year-old mate raised 15 yards out of 25 for a total of 232 yards while helping Buffalo score four straight losses as the Bills accumulated 451 yards rushing.

Barkley was approved by coach Sean McDermott, ahead of inefficient Nathan Peterman, while he had only two weeks of training with the Bills since signing on Oct. 30. . Rookie Josh Allen missed four consecutive games with a sprained right elbow. Derek Anderson is absent with a concussion. Barkley's last start came in the 2016 season finale for Chicago.

Meanwhile, coach Todd Bowles's stunt reached a boiling point as the Jets (3-7) were thoroughly mistreated by a team that scored 96 points and less points in the league and who has scored two touchdowns in his previous four games.

The Jets have a break of a week and the future of Bowles, in its fourth season, is seriously questioned.

Josh McCown, 39, made his debut in New York instead of injured rookie Sam Darnold, but could not stop the Jets from losing their fourth straight defeat to a frustrated base of fans and hoes.

McCown was 17 out of 34 for 135 yards with two interceptions.

Barkley certainly did not look like a rusty guy, he pitched a 47-yard pass to Robert Foster in the Bills' first offensive game. Foster, recently promoted to the training team, beat Jets cornerback Trumaine Johnson, who had missed the previous five games with an injured quadriceps.

At the next game, Barkley gave the field to McCoy, who scored his first touchdown of the season with a 28-yard run that gave Buffalo a 7-0 lead in 49 seconds.

Barkley and the Bills took a 14-0 lead midway through the first quarter on a delusional game. On the third and seventh in the 11th minute, Zay Jones grabbed a pass and raised him 10 yards before fumbling for the goal line. The tight end, Jason Croom, found himself in the end zone for a touchdown confirmed by a video review.

The 14-game, 73-game hard drive was extended by a fake kick of politics on the fourth and sixth of the 47 Bills when the ball was broken straight to the tight end Logan Thomas, a quarterback at Virginia Tech. Thomas then completed a 19-yard pass to Foster for the first try.

The 14 points were equal to the total of the Bills of the last four games.

The Bills beat the Jets 186-1 after a quarter and added to their lead less than two minutes into the second quarter thanks to a 54-yard field goal by Stephen Hauschka at 17-0.

In case of doubt as to the direction of this match, the Bills have added a little trick – and an embarrassment for the Jets – during their next visit.

Dawkins stood as an eligible receiver at first base and seventh. Barkley, of course, found the 6-foot-5, 320-pound lineman completely open for a touchdown.

The Jets had another brutal sequence in their next possession, when they had three – yes, three – possession penalties called on a game. Then, McCown, facing a blitz, threw the ball on the sideline left and Matt Milano has recovered.

Seven plays later, McCoy scored from point 1 – moments after he was declared the winner and returned to the opposing player – allowing Buffalo to score 31-0.

The Jets ended the Bleached Bills on the last game of the first half, on Jason Myers' 55-yard play.

Buffalo beat New York 313 to 68 in total shooting in the first two quarters.

Isaiah Crowell put an end to the drought of the Jets' 22 offensive incidents without touching by scoring 5 yards for a score of 31-10 in the middle of the third quarter.

Jones caught an 8-yard TD Barkley TD late in the third quarter.

THE REAL McCOY

McCoy has surpassed 500 career points and climbed to 26th in the career rankings, ahead of Marshawn Lynch (10,379), Eddie George (10,441) and Tiki Barber (10,449). McCoy also beat 100 yards on the ground for the first time since his 156 win in a 13-7 overtime win over Indianapolis on Dec. 10.

INJURY

Bill CB Taron Johnson left in the third quarter due to an injury to the shoulder and did not return. … Milan was assessed for a fourth-quarter head injury.
