ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. – Buffalo Bills receiver Zay Jones apologized to teammate Kelvin Benjamin after Jones' mother posted a tweet this week, hinting that his son would help Benjamin line up.
"He talked about it with me," Benjamin said Thursday. "He came and apologized for that, it was really that, I was just trying to get out of it."
Maneesha Jones responded Monday to a tweet from a Buffalo-based reporter about Jones who played 94% of the offensive shots during Sunday's loss to the season. The tweet was deleted Wednesday.
Zay Jones said on Wednesday that he did not want to talk about his mother and declined to comment, but said Thursday: "KB and I have a great relationship.I love KB.I did not nothing against him. "
Asked Thursday about his relationship with Jones, Benjamin said: "Like any other receiver, I think we [are] good. I feel like an offense, we help each other. Not with plays and alignment, but communication. "
