According to Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen of ESPN, the Chiefs are interested in some extent in trading.
Thomas held training camp and preseason in order to get a new contract with Seattle or a trade. He is in the final year of his current contract with the Seahawks.
Thomas flirted openly with the idea of being distributed to the Cowboys. Last season, he openly asked Cowboys online to "pick me up" in Seattle. He made even less effort to hide his wishes during the offseason.
Dallas offered a second-round pick, but that was not enough for Seattle. The Seahawks wanted more. Rumor has it that other teams would be interested in trading for Thomas, but this is the first time a legitimate partner other than the Cowboys has come out of the rumor.
Thomas's alliances with Dallas upset the Seahawks. He came back from the start before the start of the season and played in the first two games. Last week, however, he missed two practices for what was officially described as "personal reasons." Now the Seahawks are planning to hit Thomas with a hefty fine, according to the same EPSN. report.

The defense of the chiefs could certainly use the help. They dropped more than 400 yards in their two games this season and averaged 32.5 points per game. They are ranked last among defenders of the DVOA by Football Outsiders. For a team with championship designs, it's a heavy responsibility to set up the franchise for another disappointment in January.
