Quincy (WGEM) – People in the three US states got up early and early to try to make deals with their shopping list.

There was a long queue outside Menards in Quincy while people were waiting, many knowing Black Friday with a plan in place even before the doors opened!

"We help each other with all the items, it surprises me how often you can get all the gifts in less than 5 minutes and get out of the store and I line up for about two hours," said Faith Shrader.

Once the doors opened, people went to get what they wanted, from toys to clothes!

Menards general manager Sterling Freed said his team was ready for the race.

"We worked a lot on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and today, we do it," Freed said.

"It was great, I have everything on my list and more," said Carla Johnson.

The starting lines are long on Black Friday, but the buyers we say that the offers are worth it.

"Nice and smooth, no fight or fight, it went well," said Stephanie Factor.

"It's good that I'm relieved because Menards is a crazy house if you do not go out fast," Shrader said.

Many people leave with most holiday purchases made.
