CREVE COEUR, MO- It has become a tradition in Saint-Louis for some buyers in the region. They go to the stores in the area for the bargains of black Friday for Thanksgiving. A few Kohl's, Best Buy and Target stores opened on Thursday, while most of the traffic in shopping centers will only resume on Friday.

Matt Bilicki was on the front line of the Kohl's store in Creve Coeur. He had no idea what he was going to buy because he was queuing for a different reason.

"My wife told me to queue. We have been together for 23 years and I am doing what she tells me to do, "he said.

InstaPot was a product that sold like hotcakes. It is presented as a pressure cooker and a slow cooker combined. Dozens of them were sold in the first minutes following the opening of Creve Coeur Kohl's at 5 pm.

One buyer stated that the gaming system she had tried to buy from the store's website had been exhausted. The only way for her to buy it was to queue up and hope that there were still some left before arriving in the aisles.

Karen Kaye queued without having any idea what she would buy.

"There must be something I want and need so much," she said.
