A sheriff's deputy was killed and another wounded on Monday after a shootout with a suspect in Sacramento County, California, according to several sources.
According to the Fox 2 KTVU, 27-year-old MP Mark Stasyuk was shot dead in Rancho Cordova, the sheriff of Sacramento County. Assistant Julie Robertson was shot in the arm but should recover from her injuries.
Four people – the two deputies, the suspect and a passer-by – were hospitalized after the incident. The suspect was awake and spoke after the shoot, the news channel reported. The viewer has wounds that do not put his life in danger.
The sheriff said the suspects fired at the two police officers in a car shop, which they did not know were armed.
