A woman from Southern California who has been stung hundreds of times by bees is expected to survive.
Orange County Fire Captain Tony Bommarito says that a housekeeper was attacked Lake Forest returned Monday morning after parking his car near a hive hidden by bushes.
According to Bommarito, the hive could have contained at least 30,000 bees and the woman was severely stung. He said his face was covered with bees.
Bommarito said firefighters who worked without protective equipment were catching a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher and using it on bees.
The woman was hospitalized in critical condition. The son says that the woman is better and that she should survive.
Four firefighters were also stung and two of them were treated at the hospital.
