Taylor Swift continued her political voice a week before the mid-term elections, referring to Instagram to announce that she would vote early for Democratic Senate candidate Phil Bredesen.
The singer published a photo that she took with her mother holding flags next to a sign bearing the name of Bredesen, who runs against Republican Marsha Blackburn to represent Tennessee.
"These two women from Tennessee voted for the candidate who was reasonable and trustworthy," wrote Swift in his message. "We want leadership, not extremism based on fear. The advance vote will run until Thursday and election day, November 6th. Do not stray from it. "
The singer has been examined in recent years in search of what many have perceived as a failure to use her far-reaching platform to discuss politics and current affairs. Swift's call to action on Tuesday follows a long and beautiful post on Instagram. this month in which she listed her reasons for supporting Bredesen on Blackburn.
"His Congressional vote record is bitter and terrifying," wrote Swift in his October 7 message. She added that she would also vote for Jim Cooper, Democratic candidate for the House of Representatives.

A recent NBC poll gives Blackburn a slight advantage over Bredesen, though the latter is more favorable to likely voters.
