Carlos Rodon of the White Sox: five defeats

[ad_1]

Rodon (6-5) conceded four runs on six hits in a loss to the Angels on Friday, scoring five walks and four strikeouts in the fourth inning.

Rodon really lost the match in the third inning as he battled the first two batters, hitting Mike Trout to charge the bases and giving Justin Upton a sacrifice flight before returning a three-run homer to Shohei Ohtani. It was Rodon's shortest outing in 16 starts this year and his second consecutive loss after winning all three of his previous starts. The southpaw still has a good average of 3.11 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and an excellent average of .188 against, although his 79:43 K: BB in 104.1 innings is not very impressive. His next start will come against the Royals in Kansas City.
