Carmelo Anthony will part with the Rockets after playing 10 games

Carmelo Anthony's brief stint with the Houston Rockets is over, ESPN sources told the league.

Anthony, ten times better striker, will leave the team after only 10 games in the regular season, sources said.

An official announcement is expected before the Rockets face the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night.

The Rockets do not intend to immediately give up on Anthony and will continue to allow his representatives to investigate the market to find a landing point, which is an ongoing process in recent days.

Anthony's wisest solution might be to be patient and allow changes to the current team's makeup – be it transactions or injuries – to give him more options.
