NEW ORLEANS – About 7,500 residents of New Orleans were without electricity Monday morning after a cat entered an Entergy station and caused a "flash".

According to the Entergy tweet, the lights went out around 9 pm across Mid City after the cat was in contact with a substation equipment.

The teams started working to restore power soon after catastrophic breakdown, according to Entergy.

Shortly before 10:30 am, Entergy announced that it had restored power to approximately 200 customers.

At 11:16, Entergy announced that the power had been fully restored for all customers.
