Today, a colleague has reminded me Vanessa BayerSunday Routine, surely the best installment of the Metro counter column. The cast member at the time "Saturday Night Live" recorded how she got up around 3pm, removed her makeup the day before and watched TV for the rest of the day, booking each meal. I feel very inspired this weekend.
So, what has happened this week?
• Caroll Spinney, who plays Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch on "Sesame Street" since 1969, is retiring. [NY Times]
• Busy Philipps wrote a 308-page book, which everyone is talking about, is a paragraph she wrote, accusing James Franco of attacking her on the set of "Freaks and Geeks." She is frustrated. [Vulture]
• Both "Nathan for you"and"Orange is the new black"Finish their races: The seventh season to come of" Orange " will be his last and there will be no more episodes of "Nathan".
• Britney Spears is returning to Las Vegas for a new residency at Park MGM starting in February. (This is a good excuse to listen to the "Britney" episode of the Mystery Show podcast.) [Variety]

• The article by Taffy Brodesser-Akner on Melissa McCarthy becomes really awesome when Akner Digging into politics of comedy in 2018: "Why seek meaning in everything while the purpose of the exercise of comedy is to transcend meaning, responsibility and poignantness?"
• Twitter discussed wild details in this Los Angeles Times profile of Bella Thorne (she has 19 cats, some of her cooking is devoted to marijuana), but it's worth reading if you prefer to think of Thorne as a person rather than a click-y title. (I also understand that some of you may not even know who she is.)
• Joshua Rivera started playing golf with Michael Peña for GQ. The couple's experiences on the course ended up perfectly reflecting Peña's experiences in Hollywood, which is crazy since celebrity profiles never change the central metaphor experiences of a subject's life.
I want to listen to a passion project
The French artist Sophie Calle find big names to write an album of 37 titles in memory of his dead cat. I would recommend the track by Jarvis Cocker and Laurie Anderson.
I want a list to discuss
Slate has collected the 30 songs they believe we will listen for the next 100 years, which, first of all, seems daring to assume that we still have 100 years to hope, and secondly, an artistic editor Gilbert Cruz raised the very good question of why we still give R. Kelly's "Ignition (Remix)" recognition, as ubiquitous as it has been for 15 years. (To be fair, the list acknowledges the clumsiness of his inclusion.)
