CDC warns chicken farmers and homeowners not to dress animals for Halloween

(CNN) – The CDC is warning chicken farmers and their owners not to prepare their chicken for Halloween because of the increased risk of salmonella.

Apparently, close contact with live poultry could increase the risk of contracting a disease caused by Salmonella.

The CDC also states that it is important to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water every time you handle a live chicken.
