Chick-fil-A tests restaurant concept "first of its kind" in Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A new Chick-fil-A restaurant under construction in Nashville, Tennessee, is being touted as the first of its kind for the chain.

The Tennessean said Luke Pipkin, chief innovation officer at Chick-fil-A, said the restaurant under construction was a new concept focused on catering and delivery. It will include a space reserved for customers who place future orders.

"This site will be the first of its kind," a post published Aug. 30 on the site's Facebook page read. "We will specialize in creating more convenient Chick-fil-A through catering, delivery and mobile ordering."

The restaurant, located at 1622 Church Street, will open on October 17th.
